Workforce support tools, presentations, and resources
The information in this section is for all partners in the Integrated Care System across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. It is focused on how we can support our own health and wellbeing in addition to the wellbeing of our workforce.
The page will be updated with new information, courses and training offers. If you have any training courses or presentations to share, please drop us an email with the details. See the form at the bottom of this page.
Supporting the psychological wellbeing of our workforce
This Framework has been developed by the Better Mental Health for All Network, a group of voluntary and community organisations working with statutory providers to improve mental health services. They worked together with a clinical psychologist from LPT who helps support staff after difficult incidents.
The guide is a tool to help organisations plan and identify the best way to support the mental health needs of their teams or individual workers

What is Vicarious Trauma?
Below is a presentation delivered in February 2025 by Rachel Hall, Deputy CEO of Falcon Support Services and Helen Carter, CEO of Loughborough Wellbeing Centre.
The presentation provides an understanding of what vicarious trauma is and outlines the potential risk attached to this. The presenters share key tips to support how we can protect ourselves at work from the harms of trauma.
Care Space
A ‘care space’ provides a model for listening and sharing with each other. It is a model of support that can be used at any time and between staff of all levels. It is easy to set up and run, with printable scripts available on the link below; you can adapt the questions as it suits your unique setting and/or needs. The benefits of regularly participating in a care space as a team or in select groups, is that it enables connection between colleagues, or a reinvigoration if connection has been lost. It helps those participating to speak about thoughts and feelings without the fear of being judged or fixed. And finally, it creates equality as everyone gets the same questions and the same time to respond and be heard.
It is easy to set up and run your own care space with your team. Have a look at this online guide to get started.
