GP Friendly Practice Award
The Learning Disability and Autism (LDA) Collaborative are working with GP practices across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland (LLR) to ensure that practices are offering reasonable adjustments, by offering the practices an opportunity to achieve the LLR LDA GP friendly practice award.
Reasonable adjustments are important as they support people with learning disabilities to have equity access to services. Making reasonable adjustments will help people with learning disabilities be aware of and how to access their annual health checks which help identify hidden health needs.
GP practices will be able to work towards achieving a bronze, silver and gold award. The practices will also receive certificates and stickers so services users can be made aware that they are able to make reasonable adjustments.
If you are part of a GP Practice, wanting to find out more about or looking at applying for the GP Friendly Practice Award, please contact Rebecca Eccles.
