There will be four places, each for senior representatives from:
- Leicester City Council
- Leicestershire County Council
- Rutland County Council
Each of these bodies should ensure that there is coverage of the breadth of the agenda in their representatives. For example, local authorities should ensure coverage of Children’s and Adult mental health and specialisms including Public Health, Social Care and Housing (if applicable).
There will be three places for senior representatives from Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust covering CYP and Adult services. These are in addition to; the Mental Health Executive Sponsor and Senior Responsible Owner (SRO).
There will be a place for each Chair from the three Health and Wellbeing Boards in LLR.
There will be two places for senior leads from LLR ICS.
There will be a place each for:
- Lead GP for mental health in the LLR ICS
- A lead for the District and Borough Councils
- Leicestershire Police
- EMAS
- Healthwatch
- Employment – Job Centre Plus/DWP
- University Hospitals of Leicester
- Vita health group (NHS Talking Therapies provider)
Voluntary and Community Sector groups
There will be a place for two Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS) organisations, elected by the VCS Partnership Network every two years. These are senior representatives who are drawn from the VCS Steering group which meets with mental health leads from the NHS to oversee the Network. As stated in the Partnership Network Terms of Reference, their role is to represent the Network partners, not their own organisations, and to bring their strategic and accountable leadership and decision making.
Lived Experience
The MHC will be ambitious and lead by example on lived experience, co-design and co- production, drawing relevant lived experience expertise into each of the programmes of work it sponsors or undertakes.
Each Place based Group will have strong VCS, lived experience, Carer, Primary Care Network (PCN), and neighbourhood representation.
