There are numerous resources available both locally and nationally to support you to look after your health and wellbeing at work. This includes support for your mental, physical, and emotional health. This directory is by no means an exhaustive list but can hopefully point you in the right direction to find help and support should you or a colleague need it.
Health and Wellbeing Support, Services and Training – all ICS Partners

Working in partnership with the NHS, Vita provides talking therapy services, known as IAPT (Improving Access to Psychological Therapies) and can provide advice and guidance on the best options for you. Talking Therapies offer a broad range of services to suit a variety of circumstances, including self-referral for a psychological assessment, so your journey with them will be unique to you.

Making Every Contact Count enables organisations and individuals to alter how they interact with people through learning how to recognise opportunities to talk to people about their wellbeing. It’s about ‘what matters to Sarah’ instead of ‘what is the matter with Sarah’. There are different levels of training available, including an eLearning package.

Start a Conversation is committed to building a community that supports the mental health and wellbeing of people across Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland.
Every life lost to suicide can affect the mental health of so many people within the community.
The campaign is led by Leicestershire County Council working in partnership with a number of organisations, from a variety of sectors from the community, that have come together with a commitment to prevent suicide.
The #StartAConversation campaign would like residents and communities across Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland to be more aware of the warning signs of suicidal behaviour and to have an open and honest approach to conversations about suicide. In this way we can work together to prevent suicide.

Since launching in April 2022 the Move, Breathe, Achieve team have created over 70 videos/ podcasts available to support your wellbeing. These short, bite-size, virtual health and wellbeing led videos are available in a playlist.
All staff are able to access the wellbeing resources whenever they want, at their own pace; videos and podcasts tend to be no longer than 15 mins and are themed around movement, breathing and recognising our achievements – promoting ways to better your physical and mental health and wellbeing.

Supporting the health and wellbeing of the social care workforce is essential in making sure that people with care and support needs, and their families, receive good quality care so they can live as independently as possible.
For home care workers, personal assistants and those working in isolated services, the nature of their work may mean that you already feel isolated. Skills for Care provides guidance on how to support staff who regularly work alone. It includes a section on supporting mental health and wellbeing and on communication and support.

Amica Staff Counselling and Psychological support services are an NHS-based staff counselling service. The service is open to those employed within a service who have an EAP (Employee Assistance Programme) contract with Amica.
